February New Construction Recap

Baldwin County: New construction sales represented 24.4 percent of all residential sales in Baldwin County during February, up from 18.7 percent last month and up from 11.7 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 18 percent of all residential sales in Baldwin County, a strong improvement from 11 percent in 2016.

 

Birmingham Metro Area: New construction sales represented 12.1 percent of all residential sales in the Birmingham metro area during February, up from 11.3 percent last month and down from 13.9 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 11.4 percent of all residential sales in the Birmingham metro area, showing no change from 2016.

 

Calhoun County: New construction sales represented 3.2 percent of all residential sales in Calhoun County during February, up from 0.9 percent last month and down from 8.8 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 3.7 percent of all residential sales in Calhoun County, down from 4.1 percent in 2016.

 

Gadsden Area: New construction sales represented 1.4 percent of all residential sales in the Gadsden area during February, down from 3.3 percent last month and down from 1.9 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 4.7 percent of all residential sales in the Gadsden area, an improvement from 3.6 percent in 2016.

 

Huntsville Metro Area: New construction sales represented 25.6 percent of all residential sales in the Huntsville metro area during February, up from 24.8 percent last month and down from 27 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 25.1 percent of all residential sales in the Huntsville metro area, an improvement from 23.8 percent in 2016.

 

Lee County: New construction sales represented 24.2 percent of all residential sales in Lee County during February, down from 26.3 percent last month and down from 29.8 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 29.1 percent of all residential sales in Lee County, an improvement from 25.9 percent in 2016.

 

Limestone County: New construction sales represented 34.6 percent of all residential sales in Limestone County during February, down from 35.9 percent last month and up from 33.7 percent one year ago.

During 2017, new construction sales represented 32.3 percent of all residential sales in Limestone County, an improvement from 31.1 percent in 2016.

 

Marshall County: New construction sales represented 7.5 percent of all residential sales in Marshall County during February, up from 1.8 percent last month and up from 5.7 percent one year ago.
