Alabama Real Estate Students Earn Second Place at ICSC & UNC Retail Real Estate Competition in Las Vegas

Students from The University of Alabama earned national recognition after placing second at the prestigious ICSC & UNC Retail Real Estate Competition, hosted during ICSC Las Vegas.

Representing the Culverhouse College of Business, the Alabama Center for Real Estate, and the Rance M. Sanders Real Estate Program, team members Lindsey Brewer, Asa Moran, Andrew Mannion, and Faith Turner competed against top universities from across the country in the annual undergraduate case competition.

Hosted by the ICSC Foundation in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the competition challenges undergraduate students to analyze real-world retail real estate scenarios and develop strategic solutions. Each participating university is invited to send one four-student team to compete during the industry’s premier event in Las Vegas.

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated their skills in market analysis, development strategy, financial planning, and presentation delivery while engaging with professionals from across the commercial real estate industry. Their second-place finish highlights both the strength of Alabama’s real estate program and the students’ dedication, preparation, and professionalism.

In addition to the competition, students had the opportunity to fully experience ICSC Las Vegas, connecting with industry professionals and gaining valuable insight into current trends and opportunities within the retail and commercial real estate sectors.

The Alabama Center for Real Estate congratulates Lindsey Brewer, Asa Moran, Andrew Mannion, and Faith Turner on their outstanding accomplishment and extends its appreciation to the ICSC Foundation and ICSC President & CEO Tom McGee for their continued commitment to supporting student involvement and professional growth in the commercial real estate industry.
