David Skinner to Speak at ACREcom

David Skinner of David Skinner Attorney at Law will be speaking at ACREcom 2018, Alabama Center for Real Estate’s eighteenth annual commercial real estate conference and expo on February 9, 2018, at The Club in Birmingham.

Skinner will be discussing how to navigate legal landmines in the new age of commercial real estate. He will also discuss the importance of mitigating risk and maximizing opportunity in due diligence processes and 1031 exchanges.

Mr. Skinner will also delve into Trump’s 2017 Tax Reform Bill and its legal ramifications in commercial real estate.

Mr. Skinner is an Instructor of Real Property Law for the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) at the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce. He was an inaugural member of the Center’s Leadership Council and is now a Senior Member of the Council.  He also routinely lectures for IREM, CCIM and the Alabama Association of Realtors. Mr. Skinner has years of service on the Alabama Law Institute’s Real Estate Study Committee.  Mr. Skinner is primarily responsible for the committee’s ad valorem tax legislation and is also a frequent contributor on leasing, financing and title legislation.

He has authored numerous articles, pamphlets, and books including the 2017 release of The Alabama Ad Valorem Tax System.
