REAL Charts: Baldwin County home sales on the rise

Baldwin County home sales reached a new high in sales for the month of May this year with 685.

As seen in the chart above, home sales rose 40 percent over the previous May sales (489) and 31 percent over April’s 523 sales.

Inventory in the coastal county has declined 9 percent compared to last May to 2,679 units on the market, amounting to 3.9 months of supply (the total number of months it would take for the market to absorb current inventory).

Homes in Baldwin County stayed on the market an average of 137 days, down 10.5 percent from last May.

The median sales price grew 4 percent to $225,000 compared to last May.
