Dothan finished 2016 strong with 92 home sales during the month of December.
This was compared to 77 during December 2015, a 19.5 percent difference.

While home sales fell slightly from November (4.2 percent), December’s number was 29 percent higher than the five-year average (2011-15) of 71 home sales.

On the inventory front, there were 1,018 homes listed for sale in Dothan during December, a 7 percent drop from 1,092 the year prior.
Dothan finished the year with 11.1 months of housing supply. Restated, at December’s pace, it would take 11.1 months to absorb the current number of homes listed on the market.
