Home sales in the Athens/Limestone County area continued to improve throughout the winter months of 2017.
Home sales in the area totaled 95 during February, as indicated by the chart above. That is a 17 percent increase over the 81 units that were sold a year ago.

From 2012-16, Athens/Limestone averaged around 64 sales for the month of February, 49 percent lower than this year’s results.

Inventory continued to fall in the area to 671 units, a 4 percent drop from a year ago.
Pricing, on the other hand, went up 10 percent o $185,000.
