ALABAMA REAL ESTATE JOURNAL

A National Win for UA’s Rance M. Sanders Real Estate Program

We are excited to announce that a team of Rance M. Sanders Real Estate Program students earned first place nationally in the 2025 ICSC Foundation Case Competition. This year’s event included 17 universities from across the country, with only six teams advancing to the final round.

This annual case challenge requires undergraduate teams to analyze a complex retail real estate scenario, develop a comprehensive strategy, and present their recommendations to a panel of industry leaders. Teams are evaluated on the strength of their analysis, creativity, professionalism, and their ability to defend their proposal during a live Q&A. Top-scoring teams receive national recognition, monetary awards, and coverage in Commerce + Communities Today.

Our students showcased remarkable skill and collaboration. Congratulations to Faith Turner, Asa Moran, Lindsey Brewer, and Andrew Mannion on this outstanding accomplishment. Their dedication and composure throughout the process highlight the talent, preparation, and momentum within UA’s real estate program.

We are proud to see our students represent Alabama on a national level and grateful to ICSC for providing experiential learning opportunities that prepare the next generation of retail real estate professionals.
