Insights from the C-Suite: Real Estate heavyweights to weigh in CRE outlook at ACREcon
Leadership at the Federal Reserve anticipates two to three hikes to the Federal Funds Rate during 2017.
Those would be in addition to the interest rate increase decided upon in December by the Federal Open Market Committee.
The key interest rate, however, is just one issue among many commercial real estate professionals will be monitoring during 2017.
Brian Bailey, senior technical expert at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, will deliver a two-part presentation on the Commercial Real Estate Outlook for 2017 at the Alabama Commercial Real Estate Conference & Expo on Feb. 10 in Birmingham.

Part two of this presentation, Insights from the C-Suite, will feature a panel of Alabama CRE heavyweights who will give their insights on the state of the CRE industry in Alabama during 2017.
Pat Henry, senior partner & president at Daniel Corporation, Jim Dixon, president at Arlington Properties and vice-chair at Arlington Construction, Rob Bedwell, senior vice president at Protective Life Real Estate and Will Barrois, vice president/regional manager at AL/FL, Stirling Properties will be this year's panelists.
"This is really one of the more powerful segments at ACREcon," said ACRE Executive Director Grayson Glaze. "These are some of Alabama's top industry leaders, folks who have their finger on the pulse of the entire industry. Their insights will be invaluable."
Bailey will give part one of the CRE Outlook beginning at 9:30 a.m. After a short break, the panel will take the stage at 10:30 a.m., where they will field questions from Bailey, who will moderate the panel.
"We introduced the Insights from the C-Suite panel last year, and it was one of the highlights of the day," Glaze said. "We hope this continues to be a staple at ACREcon for years to come."
ACREcon is currently in its 17th year and will be held at a new venue on Feb. 10, The Club atop Red Mountain in Birmingham.
Other speakers for the day include Keynote Speaker Jeffery Bayer, president & CEO of Bayer Properties and Dr. Robert Witt, former chancelor of the Unversity of Alabama system, among others.
