Mobile home sales for 2016 outpaced 2015 by 4 percent.
According to data acquired by the Alabama Center for Real Estate, there were 4,470 homes sold in Mobile during 2016, compared to 4,284 the previous year.

Mobile home sales peaked at 7,167 during 2005 but dropped to 3,186 during the heart of the recession in 2010. Home sales have risen 40 percent since 2010.

The median sales price for homes sold in Mobile during 2016 was $120,393, a 3 percent drop from 2015.
On average, homes listed for sale spent 94 days on the market, 8 percent faster than the 102 days in 2015.
Inventory also decreased by 16 percent to 2,100 units listed on the market.
